Why cross the city line
There is no shortage of dentists in Chicago. What is harder to find is one practice that can finish what it starts.
A lot of city dentistry runs on referral. Your dentist diagnoses, an oral surgeon extracts, a periodontist grafts, a prosthodontist restores, and you spend six months as the courier between four offices, repeating your history each time and hoping the plan survives the handoffs.
Here, Dr. Thanasi Loukas both places implants and restores them. Sedation, oral surgery, grafting and the final crown happen in the same building, planned by the same person. Fewer appointments, one point of accountability, and a plan that does not change hands.
The practical bonus is parking. Ours is free, on site, and not a garage.

Norwood Park and Edison Park are effectively next door, and we have a dedicated page for patients from Norwood Park. Jefferson Park, Portage Park, Dunning, Gladstone Park and the streets around O’Hare are all a short drive up Cumberland, Harlem or Higgins.
If you are coming from further south or east, be realistic about traffic and book a morning slot. Higgins and Cumberland move well before the afternoon.

Questions from Chicago patients
Is it worth driving out of the city?
For a routine cleaning, probably not if you already have someone good. For implants, full-arch work or anything that would otherwise be split across several specialists, most of our city patients say the drive saved them months.
Do you take Chicago-area PPO plans?
Most major PPOs, yes. Call (847) 696-1919 with your plan and we will verify your benefits before you commit to anything.
How many visits will implant treatment take?
It depends on bone and healing, but because placement and restoration happen here, it is typically fewer visits than a referral pathway. You will get a timeline in writing before starting.
Can I park?
Yes. Free, on site, at the door.
