Dr. Thanasi Loukas is a 2006 graduate of the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. While attending college, he received clinical honors for his work in implant dentistry. Dr. Loukas is a member of the American Dental Association, the Chicago Dental Society, the Illinois Dental Society, and the Hellenic American Dental Society.In order to provide patients with the latest in breakthrough dental care, Dr. Loukas furthers his knowledge through continuing education courses and dental certifications.
Dr. Loukas offers patients general, cosmetic, and restorative dental care. While his passion lay in placing and restoring dental implants, he also performs advanced endodontic procedures and restores compromised teeth with white fillings and natural looking porcelain crowns. Dr. Loukas brightens smiles with professional teeth whitening and porcelain veneers, and is certified to provide Invisalign clear braces.
Dr. Maria Loukas, D.D.S
Dr. Maria Loukas received high clinical honors upon her graduation from Loyola University of Chicago in 1980. From there, she operated a private practice in Chicago until relocating to Park Ridge in 1992. For over 30 years Dr. Loukas has been providing comprehensive dental care for our Park Ridge patients.
Starting in 2008, Dr. Loukas began attending dental missions in Latin American countries, providing crucial dental care for native populations. She has completed five such missions and looks forward to more.
To offer patients unrivaled care, she continues to further her education of subjects such as prosthodontics, anterior esthetics, pediatric dentistry, periodontics, and dental implant restoration.
Peggy Dunaj, Dental Assistant
For over 16 years Peggy Dunaj has assisted our patients and our team. She strives to educate patients on the best methods of maintaining good dental health. Peggy is happy to address any questions and concerns. She is also fluent in sign language. Peggy has been certified to perform dental cleanings and apply dental sealants to help safeguard our patients’ smiles. For her, the best part of the job involves meeting new people.
Elena Bogis, Registered Dental Hygienist
Elena Bogis is a registered dental hygienist at Loukas Dentistry of Park Ridge. She helps patients feel comfortable during preventive visits and supports long-term oral health through dental cleanings, periodontal maintenance, and clear home-care guidance.
