One hour Boost Bleaching is done in the office. The procedure is begins by the
teeth being cleaned of any plaque which inhibits the whitening. After the
teeth are polished, the gums are isolated with a special solution to protect
them of any irritation. The solution is activated by the dentist and applied
directly to the teeth. The procedure takes about one hour as several layers of
the solution are used, as needed. We carefully check for sensitivity and
shade, as we constantly monitor the patient.
2. Take Home Tooth Whitening with Custom
Bleaching Trays
The at-home bleaching method involves thin, clear trays and bleaching solution to be used by the patient at home.
This method requires two appointments. On the first one, impressions of the teeth are taken with a fast setting material, making the process as short as 5 minutes. Following the visit, models are made and then the trays are constructed to precisely fit over them. The trays are used to keep the bleaching solution in place during the treatment. On the second visit your bleaching trays are tried in by the doctor to make sure they are correct and properly cover the teeth. Instructions are given as to how the bleaching solution is used. Results are seen after just 1 day and maximum results are seen after 7 days. The benefit of using this method is the ability to use the trays as you need to, in the future.
Extra bleaching solution could be purchased in the office. Our office offers 3 concentrations of bleaching solutions of bleaching solution to minimize the sensitivity. We recommend, once or twice a year, usually after a prophylaxis to use one application to maintain a constantly beautiful smile. Some sensitivity may occur depending on the strength of the solution used.

Treswhite whitening system is a great product
made up of disposable one size fits all trays. These
trays are preloaded with bleaching solution. They
are worn for 30-60min per day. They can be purchased
at our office and also make great gifts.
All
of the procedures work very well and the solutions are carefully selected by the dentists. The main difference is the time. The
two at home Opalescence bleaching tray techniques take 7-10 days for the process to be completed while in office Boost
only takes about 1 hour.
